i7 4790K and Maximus VI Formula

Hi, new to the forums and was wondering if the new Intel i7-4790K being released on Wednesday will function on the Maximus VI Formula Z87 board? I keep trying different search terms and from what info there is, the new processor will have a max TDP of 88w whereas the 4770K has 84w. Thanks for the future help and info!

Before using the new Intel 4th Gen Core processors, we suggest that you first download the BIOS updater for new Intel 4th Gen Core Processors and then update the BIOS using this tool.

This is the order things needed to be done.

I'll be updating my MVIE for devils canyon next week (chip arrives on Monday). If I have this right, I run the bios updater then i'm good to change to the processor to the 4790k?

I'm very happy with this 4790k...much better than the dud 4770k I started with
