i7 3770k overclock on a asus maximus v extreme mobo

hi, just recently put together a new rig with a i7 3770k and asus maximus v extreme. i decided to give over clocking a try. i overclock it in the bios and it says syncing turbo to 4.5ghz and i change my voltage and such. but when i get into windows it shows my cpu as still being at 3.5 ghz. i ran 3dmark 11 and that shows my stock turbo speed of 3.9. i dont know what i could of done wrong for my settings in the bios not to change a thing. Any help would be greatly appriciated

are you sure , you do save before you exit BIOS, did you try to use prime95 before anything else?

Can you check your clock and voltage with CPU-Z ? Also do you have Ai running with EVO and DIGI activated and run with windows?
