Hi everyone 😃

I have been experienting with overclocking, i must say that im a complete noob and i rly enjoy this so please dont hate, be nice to be 😃

As stated in title i cant get my turbo at full spel when i start gaming... i cant get more then 3,7ghz even tho cpu core is overclocked to 4,6ghz at full speel.
When im running prime95 it hits full speel but not when im playing a regular game, which i want.

is there an option in bios that allows turbo to go full boost with all cores? I have heard that when playing only 1-2 cores are beeing affected so it wont overclock unless it runs prime or other heavy programs.

What i want is a nice hibernate, sleepmode with low core and vcore when ideling, and FULL vcore and core while PLAYING.

Hope u understand what i mean my english isnt the best.
Take care u all 😃

Check the power plan settings in Windows. Make sure it's on Max Performance.

Thx for your answer.. If i put it on max performance it will bounce like a maniac to either 1200mhz or 4600mhz, even when idleing... i want to idle core to be 1200mhz all the time =(

Windows doesnt have many options. I wouldn't be worried about it using Turbo clock unless the load is almost nothing. Even if the clock is on Turbo it's not using much power when the CPU is idleing.

I have heard about people putting two batch files on their desktop. Then you can fast switch windows between Max performance for gaming and Max power savings when you don't need the power.

I think its weird that it wont clock to full speed when im gaming, is this a common problem or is it something i forgot to change in BIOS?
Do i need to get more juice to vcore or somthing? 😞

Windows is controlling Turbo mode. As long as "Speed Step" is enabled in Bios then Windows controlls it.
