How to run ASUS MAXIMUS VII with ALL STOCK SETTINGS?

Hello,

I need help, seriously.

I bought MAXIMUS VII RANGER because I wanted a quality MOBO. I never have had any interest or intension to overclock. I couldn't care less about the subject. I just want to run my computer at stock speeds and as stable and low temp as possible.

As I've noticed, the MOBO doesn't let me do it. If I tweak the BIOS settings I cannot make the fan speeds reasonable. If I use AI Suite III,
it AUTOMATICALLY uses Optimized Phase and overclocks to 4,4 GHz, which I don't want in any case. Adding the fact that AI Suite crashes often enough, giving Memory Access Violation -errors.

I'd like to keep my CPU temps as low as possible, I have i7 4790k and a Arctic Cooling Freezer i11 aftermarket cooler, and I still get as high as 70-75 C under load. It doesn't seem very reasonable...

If anyone could tell me how to tweak the motherboard to use ALL STOCK speeds and voltages for the CPU and how to tweak the fan speeds to vary with the temperature, as Fan Xpert does.

I'd be very grateful.

To bring everything back into stock settings, clear your CMOS. Once in the BIOS, press F5 to load the optimized defaults.

To configure your fans, navigate to the Fan Control section. You can tweak them there.

I' like to add that I liked Asus Fan Xpert, but I cant seem to use it without tweaking other settings too automatically, like fiddling with the core ratios, phase mode, etc.

It seems that the optimized defaults in BIOS are still somehow tweaked versions. Such as Core Synchronisation: Synch all cores doesnt sound like default core utilization for stock settings for say, other motherboards. And the fan control section of the BIOS is useless, I cant move the control points below 40 C or below speed of 60 %. So I have to use an external fan speed controller, keeping the speed constant... I cant trust that the default settings for the motherboard are the "defaults" Intel meant for their CPU... I hope I'm making any sense...

Fan Xpert II only controls the fans. If you're only changing settings within that section, it will not modify the rest of your system. The only for you to change core ratios, etc... if you ran the 5 Way Optimization feature or play round in the TPU section.
