They are good sticks or ram, the only thing I would suggest is look and see if you can find a single kit. With Ivy it is not so much of a problem but a single kit is way better option that two kits.

I've decided to go with G Skill Trident X 2400MHz -
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231589

Couldn't muster the courage to buy Kingston ones as they are new and I've personally never user Kingston modules. I guess IMC on Trident X is from smasung... not sure about Kingston.

The IMC is on your CPU.

If you are asking what the memory controller is of the GSkill kits, the answer is GSkill.

I was talking abt memory ICs sorry for using word IMC

But while investigating I found that the G Skill Trident X F3-2400C10D-16GTX has memory ICs from Samsung -
http://www.ocaholic.ch/xoops/html/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=795&page=1

"Despite G.Skill's relabeling efforts in order to keep any information away from competitors, a closer look at the fourth IC reveals uncovered letters "SE" in the top left corner – markings distinctive for Samsung ICs. Having a deeper look into the IC database, we can give a more educated identification of K4B4G0846B, also known as 4Gb revision B.
By being able to tell the chip base, we managed to redeem ourselves for a damaged module"

So which memory ICs do Kingston use?

There are only two or three manufactures in the world. You can work out which chips are which by looking at the timings. Kingstone use Samsungs too for some of their ram, as to all the vendors. Few if any make their own chips.

Under certain situations my friend there are bencher's out there that would give a kidney for some batches of Hynix ram. Samsung are one of the largest makers of memory. It is only natural that their chips will feature in all vendors products. Better is not about makers name, but about the binning that each vendor is able to afford or do.
