I have an i7 4790k CPU with Noctua NH-L12 cooler and Asus Z97 Deluxe motherboard. It is currently running at 4.4Ghz using a stock XMP profile (1600MHz RAM). All settings are set to default. In Windows, the power settings are 100% minimum power state 100% maximum power state so the speed is always locked at 4.4Ghz. The temperature at ~70c-75c when CPU is at 100% utilization.
Could someone please be kind enough to tell me the minimum settings I should change to achieve 4.5Ghz (and also 4.6Ghz) without worrying about system instability and overheating with my Noctua fan?
I already upgraded the BIOS to the latest version.
I found the settings below for 4.6Ghz. however, I would like to double-check with the experts here to make sure these are the most stable settings for 4.6Ghz:
Clock Multiplier: 45, synch all cores
Cache minimum and maximum: 44
Core voltage: 1.28v
Cache voltage: 1.28v
I would also like suggested settings for 4.5Ghz:
