I Recently bought an asus maximus iv extreme z motherboard from asus and the bios did not support my new IVY BRIDGE processor. it got messed up when i tried to update the bios through ROG connect. so i will have to RMA my motherboard back to asus in a few days to get a new one and was wondering if the motherboard will be shipped back to me with the lastest version of BIOS. the latest version was version number 3304 uploaded to the ASUS webite on 2012.05.09 for my motherboard. so does that mean if today i sent my motherboard back to ASUS i will get a new one with the bios version 3304? because i cannot update the bios myself because i have no way to get to the bios and cannot post because i have and ivy bridge processor. and i need to have the bios update to use ivy bridge.

You do not need to send it back to Asus to fix your issue, be glad you bought a ROG board 🙂

Here are your instructions to fix your issue:

RMA, and flashback to newest bios when you get it if it doesn't have the new BIOS already.
