Help Configuring Ram

Hey everyone,

I would just like some help/advice on how i can configure my 16GB Corsair Vengeance (4x4GB)(CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9).
For some reason when i enter UEFI mode in the BIOS, my ram is set at 1333 and when i attempt to change the speed to 1866 the fastest speed it can only recognize is 1600. Any ideas as to why it is doing this, or a fix? Thank you all.

Hi there 🙂

Where are you trying to set the speed under "Memory Frequency"? or have you tried the Ai Overclock Tuner menu and selecting DOCP?

Im doing it in the BIOS EFI under memory frequency. If my ram speed is 1866 shouldn't the option at least be available. Thanks by the way for the help.

Yes, it's available as peset (if you don't want go further with overcloking)
in bios go to 'exteme tweaking', then "Ai Overlock Tuner", change "auto" to X.M.P., click on profile #1, save F10 and you are done.

Not really - your ram speed is set by virtue of an overclock. The 1866MHz is an Intel strap.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Check out p 3-6 of the manual 😉 memory frequency goes up to 1600.......you will have to look in DOCP to see if there is a 1866 profile allowed there......

here it is (the same memory set) (it's p9x79 ws, in RIVE it's "exteme tweaking" instead of "Ai Tweaker")
