Could you please respond to the question about what monitor you are using. And if you have answered forgive my missing it. 🙂

I'm using a Toshiba 32" TV. I've had it working on this screen before, the only thing that changed is I traded a 660ti for my 7970. No matter what driver, resolution, or cable I use, result is the same.

Yip - there have been a good number of users reporting that with the 7970 and TV's as monitors they have no way of accessing the BIOS.

So is there a way to fix this, or am i out of luck? honestly, I don't get into BIOS that often so its more of an annoyance than a true problem, but a fix would be appreciated.

Yes of course you can fix it. Get a different TV set. But that is not a real solution at all. Or try an adaptor and your cable, in other words move the output port to one that does allow you to access it on your TV.

Only way to use the onboard graphics is to unplug the card.

switch output on the back of the card, either display 1 or 2.
