[help] Asus matrix 7970 platinum

Hi guys help needed. I upgraded from asus 560ti to 7970 yesterday but sadly it fail to load windows. I've tried several way like updated the mobo latest bios, fresh windows install but still fail. My pc able to load into bios screen but after bios screen it just hang there.

with my old card it load well even with new windows.


I using intel db67bg mobo, 8gram, Cooler Master 750w bronze psu, I7 2600k.

Silly question, but did you uninstall your Nvidia drivers before you installed the new AMD card?

Yes, i have removed the Nvidia drivers then only change 7970 ..but it fail to load after bios boot..
I even tried a fresh windows install but still fail to load. With old Nvidia card no issue loading in windows 😞

have you tried reset your bios? or check your 7970 is the power pin plug in correctly? normally it will beep if not enough voltage though...

your bios needs to be set to optimal defaults when installing the matrix 7970 for the first time. load into your bios and hit the F5 key to load optimal defaults. then hit F10 to save your settings and reboot the system. give that a try to see if you can boot into windows. once you are in, you can go back in your bios and set it back to your custom settings.
