Ran a SSD+HDD configuration with a WD Black 1TB 7200rpm drive and after 2 days, it threw a S.M.A.R.T error at me telling me to backup and replace. I ignored it for day and then it started really slowing down my system. I took the HDD out and reimaged my system back to having everything on the SSD. Is there anyway to prevent this stuff or is this more of a hardware issue with WD? I ran the WD testing software and it failed the quick scan within 10 seconds.
The SSD is in P/1 and the HDD was in P/4. Could that have something to do with it or would that purely be a hard drive hardware issue?
PS. The error it was throwing gave no identification code or explanation.
