im new here but not to gaming laptops! I have owned AW 18 R2 765M sli, AW 18 R3 780M sli, MSI GT70 2OD 870M, MSI GT72S 6QE 980M and now a G751JT 970M 🙂
I have only ever o/c my last rig (gt72s 6qe) using msi afterburner, tbh all i did was raise the base speed 5% and that was it! I was to afraid i would damage something 😞
now im reading that some ppl have o/c the G751JT 970M from around 1000mhz to 1500mhz!!! they also changed the voltage and 1 or two other things to keep the o/c stable.
i was wondering is there a detailed tut anywhere on how to do this? i know you increase slowly a few things 1 at a time and when the gpu crashes bring it back slightly but im not 100% sure how to do this.
i was hoping to increase it by 15/20% to bring it up to stock 980M, im just looking to match the fps of the 980M with paying for one 😉
I want to keep this rig a while, it is arguably the best rig out of all iv owned so far apart from the fact the i7 is hq and the 970M is not mxm 😞
Any pointer would be greatly appreciated 😄
