Flashback Bios update question

Markl

Been awhile since I've touched my system, I have a Maximus V Formula board and getting prompts to upgrade the Bios.
If I do this, will it wipe out my current overclock settings? Will this impact my current stability?

Best option, the EZFlash?

Thanks,
Mark

Markl, yes if you update your bios the profiles will be erased, they may not work with the changes in the bios anyway. EZFlash is probably the best option. How are you receiving these prompts to update your bios?

AI Suite? Appears to be anyway.
Prompts to back it up and update with the new version provided I download the new one.
System seems to work fine and stable for me, so the old adage 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' may be the best path.

Markl, you are absolutely correct, if everything works as intended there is no reason to upgrade, bios upgrades may fix some hardware issues or add functionality for new hardware that you may not have

Thanks for responding and confirming my thoughts on this. I'll leave it as it until I find something not working.
