Fans start then stop. Computer won't turn on.

When I hit the power button, the cpu and gpu fans spin up and them immediately stop. At this point, I've removed the video card, and still get the problem. If I disconnect the EATX12V, everything spins up, but it goes into endless reboots because there's no CPU. How can I go about solving this problem?

I have a Maximus V Gene motherboard.

New build or one that has been working?

Have you got a different PSU to try?

If new build make sure the motherboard is not contacting case...i.e. board is supported by standoffs and the standoffs are in the correct places.

Make sure you are using 8pin atx power cord not PCIe one...
