Error Code 10, then stuck at 50 Crosshair Formula - Z.

Hi, I haven't built a computer completely from scratch before, so am probably doing many things horrifically wrong.

Essentially I got together the stuff I thought I needed for a new desktop PC, as my old one burnt out on me.

Here's what I got

AMD Piledriver Eight Core 4.0ghz Black Edition Processor, with the standard issue fan.
Asus Crosshair V Formula-z Motherboard
Crosshair Vengeance 1633 8GB (2x4GB) RAM
Asus Geforce 550TI Graphics Card (very old I know, plan to upgrade once I get this working, as with more RAM)
Corsair Builder Series 750W PSU.
Bitfenix White Collusus Case
Corsair 240GB Solid Slate Drive

Firstly I installed it all, plugged everything in, and got nothing but an error code 55. Explained all this to amazon with the solid red light for a CPU failure, and they agreed to exchange both the motherboard and the CPU as I didn't know what the error was (I shall probably get charged for both of these when Amazon recieve them 😞 )

After getting the new set, I have installed it all and haven't got a 55 error. Instead it flickers on a 10 error for a second, and then switches straight to a 50 error.

I have checked the RAM is in the right slot, and tried it with just one card, but don't know if this is the problem.
The third error LED (according to the instructions the RAM one) flashes or stays on a solid red light depending on if press the go or the start button on the motherboard.

I just don't know what the fault is, I probably shouldn't have tried to build my own but I did, and its probably going to end up costing me thousands of pounds to fix with Amazon and such.

I just wondered if anybody here could help me, I work in a PC World so could find any parts i need there or again on Amazon if I'm missing something, but I've followed the manual to the letter and cannot find what is wrong!???

Remove all your ram and use one stick only. Place that stick in the slot furtherest from the CPU.

Insure that you have all your PSU connectors correctly fitted paying especial attention to the 12v CPU connectors.

Once you are sure all is good, clear CMOS.

Then power up and you should be good to get into bios.

Thanks for the quick response!

Tried this, it worked! Hoorah!

New problem. Error code d7 (no console input device found)?

I've got it plugged into my TV with a HDMI is that what this means?
Sorry if I am being really dumb and taking up people's time, I just genuinely don't know 😞 !!!
