Hello,

I am new there (and a novice regarding hardware)

I have an issue regarding Ram frequency and despite reading a lots of topics i can't figure out how to change the frequency to 3600 mhz.

My setup is this one :

- I7 12700K

- Asus Rog Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi D4

- Ram Gskill Ripjaws V 2x16Go 3600mhz  (F4-3600C16D - 32GVKC)

- Graphic Nvidia 3080 FE

I have updated the BIO to the last version and Both Ram are on the right slot A2 and B2.

I activated the XMP and tried BOth XMP I and XMP II.

BUt i am still at 2133 mhz

I don't know what i should do now...

Should I buy other ram ?

Thx in advance for your help

Not sure where you checked in BIOS, but CPU-Z indicates the memory is running at 3600MT (or double-date rate, half the reported frequency)

You may have seen the EZ Setup Screen reporting the JEDEC default frequency.

If you're comparing Futuremark benchmark results, it's important to understand that users will be optimising beyond XMP and board controlled timings in order to gain scoring advantages.

Hello, where are you monitoring the frequency? Have you checked in CPU-Z / HWinfo?

Hello,

I looked directly in the BIos and I see this information

DIMM_A2: G Skill Intl 16384MB 2133 MHz (same for B2)

But with Cpu-Z  :

I might misunderstood something .

To be clear, i started looking into my setup performance (which shows that it is under average on 3dmark and Cpu-Z benchmark)

this how i found out that my Ram frequency was locked at 2133 Mhz.
