Daemon Tools new version?

Hi, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place but I was just curious.

Looking at the downloads on this site: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/Maximus_V_GENE/#download
I found that there is a download for version 5 of daemon tools, is this a free upgrade? Or must we pay for the upgrade if we installed the version of daemon tools from our motherboard cd?

As I can't seem to activate this new version of daemon tools online, it says the free upgrade period has expired...

Any help is appreciated, thanks...

And btw upgrading from v4 to 5 will cost you less than buying v5 alone

The license provided to ROG users is associated with the specific Daemon Tools version bundled with the motherboard. The Daemon Tools license provided to ROG users is a lifetime license for a single version, so an upgrade is unavailable on this license. Daemon Tools version 4.xx does not support Windows 8 and motherboards supplied since Windows 8 launch contain 5.xx on the driver DVD.

There are ongoing discussions with Daemon Tools for Windows 8 upgraders who have used 4.xx version previously.
