CPU Fan Error and voltage errors

ok.. strange thing...

I added the 4 pin cpu power ( so that I can have that added stability with oc ) and now, I get keep getting error code 99 on bootup and it goes to bios saying cpu fan error! when I restart.. it goes away.

I have also noticed that when at desktop, I'll keep getting notices that my sb voltage is at 44v.. wtf and my nb is at 40.... um.. what could be causing that? or should this be something I should even be concerned about?

thanks

If you unplug the 4pin does this persist ?

When you say 'notices' do you mean from ai suite ?

Do you have hwMonitor installed ? If so, what do those voltages say ?

yes.. from AI Suite... I have not unplugged the 4 pin.. yet..

I uninstalled hwmonitor because I try to stay with a single sensor.. also.. those are just the pop up alerts...

hope that makes sense

I would check the connection and wires from the noctua to be sure all is well.

Personally I would have gone the other way, and have, with hwMonitor and Al Suite.
[There is a guide and a 'cleaner' for uninstalling that, btw.]

Next, I would carefully inspect the 4pin for any issues and try a different ps plug if
one is available. [to be on the safe side]

I had many 'spikes' and 'misreadings' from ai suite, so on a fresh install I did away
with it ... and without taking a poll I think that the norm here. .c.

thanks! I will try a clean install. Personally, I like AI suite only for two things.. fan expert ( I really like this app ) and the Sensor.. it's just a nice, clean monitor.

I do have aida64.. forgot about that.. but I don't know if it's possible to use that to set fan speeds like you can in fan expert.
