hello..
To answer your question..

NO, I think you got it right.. (but not massive headroom for overclocking).

Not less power than that with the setup you are going to use..

So am I reading that if I am to OC to 4.8-5.0 ghz, that I should purchase at least a 1200 watt PSU. For example AX1200..

yes, i would have done so..

But thats my opinion..

You really shouldn't max out the PSU 24/7.. As many do.. Using a too weak unit.. the fan noise. uhh.. the ripple..

cool and silent instead, with a healthy voltage regulation..

Gear happy = owner happy..

I am not pointing my finger at you..

But many buy gear for a couple of K.. But dont want to spend 30-40 dollar xtra, on a unit.. that actually got the right power proportions, for the gear that they aim to use..

logic??, i cant see it..

I think a 1050 is ok, but if you want to do some OC, go for the 1200.

3930K, and 7970 is true "power hogs", when OC they pull a fair amount of juice..
