Corsair H100i Questions

I have started to get the OC bug, but am only in the beginners area; however, I recently purchased a Corsair H100i.

My question is in relation to the monitoring software. Corsair LINK 2.
It displays the CPU temp, and my GTX 680's temp, but where do the drive 1 and 2 temps come from, and how to I either connect them if able to, or disable them???

I'm not too familiar with the Corsair Link 2 software but most people would tell you to ignore that program completely. Popular temperature monitoring applications like RealTemp, Core Temp and HWMonitor are recommended for your overclocking needs.

Just to give you an idea how thinks works in the link, the drive temp refers to HDD/SSD temp not likely you can disable

Well I have both an SSD and a HDD and it was not showing any temperatures for it.

Anyway, I just solved the problem by right clicking on the HDD icon and it gives you the option to hide.

Am going to go with the reply above as I am going to experiment with OC

I have another question on the H100i.

With regards to flow direction. The books recommend an incoming direction where as most cases use the top as an exhaust.

Any takers on this one. I plan on push pull and the HAF X has heaps of room.

I have the HAF X (two fans on top) and the H100i. I reversed my top fans which improved my cooling. Pushing air in. Stable overclock at 4.8GHZ.

i am running twin pull atm, but i am running an open case so it's fine for me. I'd say as long as the hot air flow out from the case, you'd be fine.
I did some reading which they that say you don't really gain much running push pull and the fan noise is horrible.
Besides, pull config is going to be easier to clean as you don't have to take your fans off to spray the dust off the rad
