Computer shuts off, fans run at 100%, while playing games

My computer just recently (yesterday), is shutting off either when I launch or play a game. This has never happened before. I can watch youtube, and browse the web fine. When the computer
"shuts off", i can hear the fans running at 100%, and the screen just turns black. So, I have to just hold the power button until the computer shuts off. I am pretty sure this is not a heat or power probelm, because it has never happened before, but it may be. Also, when I turned the computer back on, this is the error message.

320.49, but the problem has gotten even worse, when i restart my computer (after it has shut down), there is no display and the gpu fan is still running at 100%, however i can still boot from my 2nd gpu (the asus), i just have to switch the hdmi cables. When I am on the computer (using the asus one), the main gpu (the evga) fan is still runnning at 100%.

do NOT use that driver, go to 314 version of it, the 320? is buggy as F.

Clearly it is a VGA issue that is causing the issue. I suspect when your vga card goes from 2D mode and kick up into 3D mode for games that the issue happens.

When was the last time you updtaed your nVid drivers, and did you have this issue before you updated?
