Compatibility issues

I just bought an ASUS CM687-US011S desktop pc and also an ASUS PB278Q monitor for a Christmas gift. Are these compatible out of the box for 2560x1440 resolution or do I need to upgrade the graphics card? I believe it comes with a Nividia GT640 card.

They should be fine together resolution wise....just make sure you get a DUAL DVI-D cable to connect them. The resolution will mean that frame rates, while running games, on that card may be lowish if you run the game at maximum settings.
