Building PC problems

Hello everyone!
About a half year ago I decided to build a powerful PC for video making. I asked a lot of people and read about how to build a PC so I bought all the parts. The config:
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
Intel Core i7 3960X
Corsair H100i
8 Gb RipjawsZ F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL (2x4Gb)
MSI N680GTX Lightning
Corsair AX1200
WD AV GP 2TB
WD 1002FAEX 1TB
OCZ VERTEX 4 128GB
So I assembled the whole thing and since that I get a ton of problems what I can solve but there is one what I can't. I bought this PC for make Full HD gameplays, but I can't, cause the games lagging... I tried everything what I heard or read:
- Upgrade the BIOS, so I have the latest version.
- Test the RAM with Test86, nothing problem.
- Configure the Corsair LINK so the CPU can't go over 65 °C.
- Setup the Win 8's power options to Perfomance.
- Install the drivers for everything.
- Setup the Nvidia to Perfomace Power Option.
- Make a 15 mins Furmark test and that says OK. (I don't OC the Videocard.)
- OC the CPU to 4.4GHz. I think it's stable, because there aren't BSODs, shutdows or whatever. And the AIDA64 stress test is fine too. My BIOS settings:
- By all cores
- 4.4 GHz
- Vcore 1.3V
- VTT 1.25V
- All the others are on default. (I know a video maker who has the same PC and this BIOS setting so I tried this first.)
- I tested the Seriel ATA ports on the motherbord and the HDDs and SSD is faster in the Intel ports so I use those.

I tried to record a BF3 video with Action! (I heard that better that Fraps). The Windows is on the SSD, the game is on the SATA 3 WD Black and I record the video to that HDD too. (I only use the Green SATA 2 HDD to storage files.)

So I tried anything what I can. I'm a noob in this "OC, build a PC" world, but I want to learn it, because I love informatics. 🙂

Sorry for the long post, but I want to write my whole journey. Thus you know everything about my PC and (I hope) you can help me. There is some infos and test results: http://oi42.tinypic.com/2zftnqp.jpg

Note: Yes, I know my english is awful. Sorry I've only learn it since a year. :S

If you get stuck with English contact Zka17 he comes from the same place as you do.

Please set Gen3 for PCIe in bios if you have not done so yet.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Thank you for the reply. I've checked the BIOS setup. That's already in GEN3. If I wrote something wrong please tell me. (I learn the english on my own.) I will contact Zka17 too. If you have more idea please tell me. I'm going to be sad, because I can't believe this PC can't do what I want. But I think the problem is a simple setup what I forget. 🙂

OK let us see if we can work out what is going on.

Please do this for me.

Save your OC profile in the save profile page of your BIOS

Then once you are sure you have done so correctly please F5 and enter to reset to defaults. Set your SATA if you are using a RAID.

Now F10 and enter and boot to OS.

Does your system still lag while allis at default?

Thanks for the tip. I've tried that. Every option in BIOS in on default. Only the Vcore not, because the Win 8 doesn't start with lower than 1.2V. (That was the first error with the PC so I know this. 🙂 ) But it's the same. I noticed it's the same lagging with and without recording. So there isn't problem with the Action!. I don't use RAID. The SATA is in AHCI.

Hm... unfortunately, I have not tried Win8 yet... and I never game - but you do have a strong setup there, Ajgor, I'm sure it should manage both the Win8 and BF3...

Reading your post, my first impression is that you may be short on memory... one of the reasons why people should have more than 8GB of system memory is dealing with videos... - so, my first question: your game is lagging only when you're recording or it does without too?

The second thing which may be related to the low amount of system memory - storage... When your system runs out of system memory, it will use the Virtual Memory - which location (SSD or HDD) and at what amount is this set?

Also, how much of your SSD space is free?

Regarding a possible language barrier, please, see my PM - as per HiVizMan's post, we may speak the same language...

If I may make a suggestion, uninstall Corsair Link software, I have seen many people report similar problems resolved by uninstalling this software, also if you use any Logitech or similar keyboard or mouse software, this has caused me problems in the past, also like Zaka says is it only while recording your game. If you have room on your SSD for the games you most often play that would be the best place to have it installed.

So yesterday I have a new idea and I tried that. So I reinstall the Win 8 and I only installed the Action!, Origin, Battlefield 3 and Google Chrome. No drivers only those, what the Windows downloaded. But the game still lagging. So I think it's not an incompatible driver or somethink. (The mouse's and the keyboard's driver is intalled automatically by the windows updater, but I will check that.) Today I installed Win 7, but the same. The games lagging with and without recording. I have a 60Hz monitor and I use Vsync what lock the FPS to 60, but sometimes it goes down to 43. (For example whet I near fire.) The windows is on the SSD and the game (and the direction of recording) is the same SATA 3 HDD. I have about 100Gb free space on the SSD and 500Gb on the HDD. I've already tried to install the game to the SSD but there is two problems with this plan. First I have about 400Gb of games and second. Still lagging. (The Nvidia controll panel is on default.) And what you say, yes maybe I'm short on memory (RAM), but I can't check with more, because I don't have more at the moment. So if that's the problem I have to wait and make some money. 🙂 But if you can please show me a stable OC with this CPU. Maybe that's the problem. Isn't there a little setup thing in the BIOS what can make lagging. Cause -as I said- I only changed that 4 think in the BIOS. And I don't know anyone who can help me with OC. 😕
