Boot Problems Maximus Hero VI Motherboard

Ok, where to begin.

Ok I have a new PC since 2 weeks. Here are my specs:
Power supply OCZ 700 watts
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition ‎(X64)‎ Service Pack 1
Intel Core i7 4770K clocked at 3.50 GHz (Socket 1150 LGA)
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. MAXIMUS VI HERO Rev 1.xx (Bios version: 0804)
CORSAIR VENGEANCE 1600MHZ DDR3 16GB KIT CL9 (16 GB : 2 x 8 GB)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
Screen: LG Electronics Inc. W2442 (HDMI)

Maybe since a week ago, everytime I have to reboot my computer after any new installation on my computer (drivers, new software, etc...) my computer boots into a black screen nothing loads even my mouse and keyboard. So I have to reset and after that reset my computer boots into windows.

Ok so a week (it's today) pass and then I decided to install Asus Suite III, so I tried the 4-way Optimization to overclock a little bit, everything went well until it asked me to reboot to finish the work. So when I rebooted same story like a told in the last paragraph. After my computer booted into windows it finished the work.

Then I updated my BIOS from factory 0224 to 0804. So I had to reboot my computer one last time and then my computer made the long beep followed by 3 short beeps, it means No VGA detected. So I tried to restart many times until I
succeed to enter the BIOS and reset to default. After that I finally loaded Windows.

So can I ask here what hapenned? is my motherboard faulty? or my VGA? or my Power Supply has not enough power to run my computer normally? Any ideas? If something is wrong, faster I know faster I can switch the hardware for a new one in my store.

Thank you,

I still had the problem with shutdowns that weren't completly shutting down. And finally I definelty uninstall Asus AI Suite III and everything works well. I didn't find any options in this software to make my computer shutting down completly when I press shut down in Windows, it was always sleeping kind of... Anyway! Hehe.

Anyone can redirect me to a forum thread where I can see how to overclock my CPU with Maximus Hero VI Bios to a higher value? so it can be like 3.7 or higher without overheating my CPU? What settings I shoud modify in bios to make it faster because I can't figure it out all by myself. All my computer components are in this thread in 1st post.

Thank you,

Hello mate sorry to hear about your hassles.

Right here is what you do in BIOS to overclock your system however I do not know what cooler you are using, that is not included on the first post list.

Go into bios.

F5 to set defaults.

Set XMP as mode of OC

Set all multi to 42x (if you are using stock Intel cooler use what ever number you like below this)

In Digi+
LLC to 3

Vcore to offset
+
0.02

Leave all else on auto

F10 and enter.

Now you should be good to go. If your OS power plan is set to performance your CPU will not throttle down when Idle nor will the voltage drop when idle. I prefer and suggest you use balanced. Your system will ramp up the instant there is demand for CPU power.

As simple as that.

Thank you, I'll try that settings at home when I'll come back from work.
My Box is CM STORM TROOPER (http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/landing/trooper/home.php?page=cooling),
I'm using those fans:
1. Front: 120mm Red LED fan x 2, 1200 RPM, 17 dBA
2. Top: 200mm fan x 1, 1000 RPM, 23 dBA
3. Rear: 140mm fan x 1, 1200 RPM, 19 dBAn (converted to 120mm fan)
5. Bottom: 120mm fan x 2
And the CPU one is what comes with the CPU box. 🙂
I want to buy a better fan for my CPU, but don't know what for now.

So am I okay to overclock a little bit?

I personally would not want to OC with the Intel stock cooler.

Depending what kind of money you want to spend you are really spoiled for choice.

Money is not a problem here 🙂 What do you suggest so it can fit in my case?

Hey guys I Installed my new Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO but when I booted my computed I had a CPU Failure. So I've entered the BIOS and I monitered my CPU Fan speed it was at +/- 550 RPM so it was failing because it was below 600 RPM that was the limit set by my motherboard. So I lowered the limit to 400 RPM so I can boot to windows. Is it normal ?! First time of my life that I have installed a Custom fan to my CPU.
