I recently oc my i5 4670k using the CPU lvl up in ROG maximus Vl hero and once i choose 4.6ghz, Blue screens start to appear.
I am currently having my CPU clocks @4.4Ghz using the same CPU lvl up feature.
My Specs are i5 4670k, ROG Maximus Vl Hero, Corsair H80i, 8GB (2x4gb) Vengenance pro RAM 1600 Mhz, GPU Asus Gtx770, PSU 720W 80plus Bronze.

Everything runs smoothly and good @4.4Ghz. Also i have done the torture test using Prime95 for 4.4Ghz and everything was okay.

4.4GHz is a good clock, for gaming especially. The auto level up features have their limitations...if you want to achieve your maximum OC this is best achieved manually in the BIOS and of course is limited by your cooling. Your core temperatures OK....and what were they at 4.6?

I'd also recommend Realbench V2.0 for a good stress test...better even than Prime in my view since it tests more of the system and the system as a whole without quite the same need for torture and high current for a long time...

When left idle @4.4Ghz, the temp was 35degree, and at full load it was 71degree. I am using the Corsair H80i for cooling. 4.6Ghz i didnt have the chance to test it as when i log in and for about 5mins later, blue screen appears.

If you are getting the blue screen your overclock is not stable. You will need more cpu core voltage or lower cpu speed.

Well personally I like less than 75degrees anyway so I would stick with 4.4....the only thing is you can often run lower voltage when you set things up in BIOS yourself and lower voltage usually means lower temps so you might have more headroom doing things yourself.

Great guide here for that series of boards...most BIOS options will be the same http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?33488-Maximus-VI-Series-UEFI-Guide-for-Overclocking&country...

I would suggest that your CPU can not do 4.6GHz. The best thing to do is try and set your bios manually and work your way up from 4.4GHz.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

What voltage is the CPU using at load at 4.4 at the moment OCing with level-up?
