do you think it is necessary to update BIOS even if you don't have any problems encountered in your motherboard?

Why fix it if there is no problem?
Unless there is something major that is included in the BIOS update (That you need) I would say there is no need to update the BIOS if you don't have any problems that is.

On the other hand, why not have the latest and greatest? Since ASUS went through all the trouble building, testing and releasing a new version, I think we should all show gratitude by flashing it! 😄 Every newer version brings some stability and/or bug fixes and I couldn't sleep at night thinking whether a few of those might apply to my system or not, so I flash! 😛

Well, until it satisfies you (doing what you need), stick to the version you have right now... - the reason you don't have to jump immediately on new BIOS releases is that flashing can go bad... a small power surge or outage while you're doing it and you rendered your mobo useless...

In the case you need some new feature, then yes, you do have to update the BIOS... be sure that you have the right BIOS version and read some guides before you would do it!
