I've browsed the forums for a bit and haven't found quite this issue, I'm hoping somebody can give me some guidance.
I've had a G75VW for about 15 months.
Recently I've found that it will shut off if it accidentally becomes unplugged. As in, turns off immediately and completely. Zero power. It will not turn on under battery power, AC must be plugged in.
The batter indicator in the corner of the screen claims it's at 80% and charging, but it is ALWAYS at 80%, no matter what.
The amber light on the front stays on and solid at all times while AC is plugged in and battery is installed.
It does not flash at any time.
(edit) After updating BIOS update, apparently amber light wants to flash and battery now indicates not charging.
I have removed the battery and booted on AC only, computer works fine.
I have updated to the most current BIOS and this has not helped (didn't think it would).
Any advice for troubleshooting? If it were a bad battery, wouldn't it still work? Just...not charge?
