Hello Rog Forum!:)

I need some help!!!

Specs:
-Windows 8 and 8.1
-AMD FX8350 @stock
-Corsair h60 v2 with Arctic Silver 5
-Asus Crosshair V Formula (non z)
-Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2133 16gb (4 modules) @1333mhz (Mobo defalt --' )
-Sapphire Radeon Hd 7970 oc boost @BIOS 2 aka 1ghz
-Corsair TX850w v2
-SSD Kingston 120gb
-HDD Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm
-Asus DvdRw
-Nzxt Phantom 410 with 7 Fans

I have build this PC but some time ago i start to experience some stranges sound and lag spikes issues on CVF.
I dont know why, but, every time the CVF needs to read the hdd (SeaGate Barracuda 2tb) i have some sort of lag spike and beep that comes from the Mobo, when i remove the hdd the lag and beep vanish.
The Q led going insane when i turn on the mobo, jump one to one and stops on the Boot_Drive (even without the HDD) and gone when windows starts.
The lag is most annoying because it came from nowere expecialy when i play Games and thats is realy bad 😞

I tryied to fix in every possible way you can imagine

-Change cables and sata ports
-Downgrade bios
-Clear cmos
-Tweak bios
-Formating HDD
-Changed the ahci to ide and vice versa (Worked the first time, but no more)
-Drivers updates
-Seagate tools (Perfect HDD no errors at all, but if i boot
-Intaled windows on ssd (kingston 120gb) (conected the hdd only affter installation)

I dont overclock (right now) and only change boot and fans options on bios.
I dont know what to do anymore 😞
If somebody know how to fix this please tell me.
And last thing, why i cant instal windows whit ram at 2133?
Thanks 🙂

I know, my English suck's!!!

Your English is better than most English people I know.

Please run some kind of hard drive diagnostic and see if the drive is about to die.

Change your SATA port and cable.

Hi 🙂
thanks for the reply

I run the Seagate tools scan and shows zero errors or problems, i run a test to found bad sectors to, but again nothing found,
S.M.A.R.T. says the hdd is ok, its realy weird,
I aready pluged to all sata ports possible with all the cables that come with my mobo, still with the issue, all my sata ports are ok, my ssd dont have this issue. 😞

Right now i am using DBAN on the most complex mode, let see if works, because i dont want to buy another hdd, i want buy some games. 😛
I really dont know where is the problem. 😞

EDIT: I have found my problem on the CVF FAQ page http://www.asus.com/support/Knowledge-Detail/1/24/Crosshair_V_Formula/21903962-6898-4960-9671-DAFFEF... , but nothing work, very sad. :'(

Check the power connectors too, and ensure you have all the 12v EPS PSU connectors fitted please.

Is the problem there with other hard drives or only that one hard drive. I still think it is the drive - what bios version are you on by the way?
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Only this drive, unfortunely i dont have another Hard Drive to test anymore, Bios 1703, i have tried 1605 but already changed back because the issue persist.
This can be a chipset or bios bug or defect, because every time i turn on, the Q led go in all, cpu etc, and stuck in boot (even without the hdd), then goes away when the first windows screen popup, and looks like is not a windows issue, because even on bios this happens. :l
Its like every time the PC starts to read some part the hdd.
Exemple: Super Street Fighter 4 AE, every time the fighting screen popup the lag and beep is there, but in games like Counter Strike GO, that loads every time this tend to be more frequent, but is not every time, its like some sort of delay.
In CSGO and demanding games this turns to be more annoying because the beep and lag are stronger and longer.

I know that can be a HDD problem, but i want to make sure because there is a similar thread in this Forum, and the guy end ups with 3 HDD with that "problem".
Like, this cant be incompatibility right?

Check the HDD for physical damage.

You mean the internal disk right?Ok i going to teardown the Hdd right now, but you have another bet what that issue may be?
BTW thanks very much for the BIG Help HiVizMan and Antronman. 😉
