I recently attempted to update to the latest BIOS version and after applying it, I was alarmed to discover that the motherboard would no longer post and the bright white led next to the diagnostic code LED would illuminate. Removing power and rebooting did nothing to fix the issue. Fortunately, I was able to use the USB BIOS load feature to revert my BIOS version back to 2703 which would then POST without any issues.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with 2801 by chance? I am pretty sure my Intel CPU is degraded at this point due to the PC starting to BSOD every couple hours now. I was hoping that 2801 would help but, unfortunately for me, it doesn't work.
