Asus Rampage IV Formula Ram problem

My A1 and B1 Slots are all of a sudden deciding not to post. It seems to have started after a bios update and the lack of ram was unnoticed until now. I am supposed to have 16gb but bios, cpuz and windows all show 8gb. These slots had never had problems before....

Have also tested with out OC and XMP
Specs:
Rampage IV Formula
Intel i7 3820 @ 4.2 ghz
Corsair Vengeance 16gb 4x4gb @ X.M.P 1600 mhz
EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Signature SC+

Hello Blazingstorm101, your motherboard has two bios chips on it. try bios number 2 and see if your ram shows back up. You can change the bios in the tool tab.

Switching bios to #2 ruled out bios version... problem is still happening

Vengeance series of Corsair does not play nice with LGA2011/SB-E... - can you try it with different kit?

Also, re-seating the CPU may help sometimes...

dont have another kit and cant try reseating cpu till tmrw

Then use a single module in every slot, but I still think that you will need to re-seat the CPU...

If there is uneven pressure on the socket pins (by uneven tightening of the CPU cooler), then some DIMM slots may go out of function... you need to check this as if you're sending back the board for RMA and people at the service will do a correct cooler mount, it may work for them correctly... and they will send you back the board as it is - and you just lost time...
