ASUS Maximus V Gene LGA 1155 Intel Z77 Temperature Reader

Hey everyone,

I was looking into buying the ASUS Maximus V Gene LGA 1155 Intel Z77 motherboard and I wanted to know does it have a
way to see the temps of things like the CPU?

Sorry if this isn't in the right place I saw the Maximus threads didn't support this type of board and thought the overclockers would know if there was a temp reader or not.

Thanks,

there are a program that asus have made ( AI suite ) or you can use other programs too ( i dont know one on top of my head as of now ).
if you press "forum" on top you can scroll down and there is a maximus tread 🙂

Alright awesome, thank you and sorry about that I miss read what it meant by what chipsets it talked about.

AI suite is a great program, but doesnt read the temps correctly since it doesnt measure the cores seperately. AI Suite gave me 10c to 20c lower temps at full load than the highest core was at that point. Go with realtemp of speedfan.

There are any number of applications that will do what you wish to do.

The trick is to select one and only use one.

AIDA64
HWMonitor
CoreTemp

Are a few of the ones I would be willing to use on my system.

AIDA64 Extreme proved to be excellent for me... not only that monitors temps, but you also can use it for stress testing... 🙂
