Anyone running three RADs

I ordered 2 more 360 Rads and I was wondering how you guy's have them set up.
I was hoping to run them together... Fan - Rad - Fan - Rad - Fan - Rad - Just not sure if that's as efficient as running them separate. Here's the rads I have coming. He took an offer of $156 for two.

I wouldn't do that fan-rad-fan-rad thing... I would rather place them side by side - like you would have a single 9x120mm rad...

Thanks for the info guys

That thing is sweet, I would love to stuff 3-360's in that compact little chamber damn..

Rad sandwiches are not such a good idea, and while the "cons" can be minimized via proper installation ("hot" rad in front, so the heated air from the other rad still retains some of its thermal efficacy), you will need some very high static pressure fans and ideally shrouds + gaskets for it to be feasible. I've tried it before, just for kicks, and I didn't start seeing ANY benefits over a single rad until I went to 9x Koolance FAN-12038HBK (120x38mm 2600rpm 6.33mmH2O 117cfm) and also used 20mm-thick shrouds on both sides of the "middle" fans and on the push fans, 7mm shrouds/gaskets on the pull fans, compressible radiator-fan sealing gaskets in every contact spot (between the Push Fans and Rad, on both sides of both sets of the shrouds; didn't use on pull as the 7mm shrouds are gaskets as well).... and ran the fans @ 100% with the water entering the "pull" side radiator first.

All that work, and simply by separating them I had a 400% increase in cooling (rather, 400% drop in delta T) compared to the sandwich.

I would just get a Phobya Test Station for your rads, and then add a third 360 whenever you can.

thanks guy's

helps allot

putting them on top of each other will reduce the cooling efficiency... It would be better if they are separated or next to each other.

Hello, yes i have been it the past.. 3 rads that is, even 4 in one build

Totally useless if you ask me, since you wont go below ambient room temp > water temp, that set the limit for the OC, not the lack of rads

And those rads are so restricted (Ebay link)~~~~~~~ ridiculous. its like a brick wall

i dont know how many gpu,s you run.. But a overclocked 3930K (5 ghz), and a 300 mhz overclocked gpu, a good 240 rad is enough... but there is the limit for a 240 rad

my advice, get 2 pcs really good 240 rads instead.. like the Watercool HTFS2 they outperform those 3 X 360 any day of the year....flow wise, built wise, cooling wise..

/ Dont get those Asian rads, its a waste of money, if you ask me..

I have been where you are now, and learned the lesson the hard way..

ops, saw now, me jumping lines again, you already ordered those..

im useing 2 RX360 rads in a single loop with just the cpu alone the temps not going over 45C with them with the pc overclocked to a 4.8 with a AMD 8350 on all 8 cores
