So, I wanted to update my bios since there has been a LOT of patches for security purposes but upon my suprise as for 3XDs processor users amd3dvcachesvc is important for us but it stopped working after my bios update I even choose the newest and 2nd newest version of bios but still fails:
Config after bios update:
Motherboard: ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI
Processor: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Bios version: Version 3222
Chipset: AMD Chipset Driver v7.01.08.129 for Windows10, Windows11 64-bit
Issue: the services for amd3dvacache has stopped working after upgrading my bios to the latest version 3222 with the recommended chipset v7.01.08.129.
- Has anyone experienced this issue? because for this service is critical to be running for proper usage of 3dvCache.
- Its working fine with my old config as wrriten below but i wanted to mitigate the security flaws:
- Performed multiple re-installation of the amd chipset all downloaded from asus support button page of my motherboard.
- Also followed Jay2Cent's workaround after the bios update to the latest version used revo uninstaller and such but still same outcome.
Old config with working amd3dvcachesvc service:
Motherboard: ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI
Processor: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Bios version: Version 3067
Chipset: AMD Chipset Driver V6.10.22.027 for Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 64-bit.(WHQL)
Hoping to hear some suggestions.
