Adding Internal USB 2.0 Headers?

I am about to build my new 4790k/M7F system. I have 4 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front of my Obsidian 900D. I connect 25 USB 2.0 devices thru 4 USB Hubs to the front of my case when I fly; disconnected when not flying. The USB 3.0 ports will not work correctly with my devices. I will have to give up the 2 USB 2.0 headers on the MB for the ROG Front Base Dual Bay device I am adding. These were the headers I have normally used to connect the front 4 ports.

I have seen some PCIe adapters that give internal and external ports but not 2 additional internal headers.

So, my question; is it possible to replace the 2 internal USB 2.0 headers for use with the Case's front 4 ports? If so, how?

Thanks

Okay, so 3 days, 81 views and no responses!

That means 1 of 2 things. Either no ones knows or this is a really stupid question.

Would someone please put me out of my misery; regardless?

Thanks

Hello RickSinGA

25 usb devices is alot. There really is no way to replace the usb headers but you can do as you said and add a pcie card for more usb ports. If you are running SLI, you won't be able to add a pcie card. If you are running crossfire, you can do it.

Thanks Nate, I was afraid of that.

25 only covers the flight hardware.

I guess I will have no use for my brand new ROG Dual Bay Gaming device.

If anyone stumbles across a positive answer for this, please drop me a line.

Yeah, I have looked at that but it splits one of the headers that the ROG Dual Bay device needs; can that really be done?

Does that create more direct connections (ports) or is it a hub? My flight gear does not play well running thru more than one hub.

Thanks

It has 3 hubs and 2 ports, I think this is something you are looking for.

I've been using one of these for the past year, no problems with it ever.

Thanks

I hope you are Nate. I went ahead and ordered one from Amazon.

Do you know if the ROG Front Base Dual-Bay Gaming Panel will work piggy backed with this USB panel?

Thanks
