adaptive voltage not lowering voltage

hi,
i am trying to change from manual to adaptive voltage. got manual 4,6ghz@1,265v stable so i set adaptive to 4,6ghz@1,275v. my problem is that in idle the voltage isn't going down; it stays at 1,275.

bios is updated. i set oc in bios and installing al suite didnt help. all my tools are showing the same voltage

Do you have SVID disabled? SVID needs to be set to either auto or enabled for adaptive mode to function

Also check your windows power plan settings...if you are on performance...

i tried with balanced and energysaving. in perfomance mode it wouldn't clock down. for me the clocks are going down but the voltage isn't

i gonna try to reset the bios

@edit:
reset -> flash -> reset -> oc
still the same problem.

@edit2:
i set min cache and max cache to 43. der8auer said that in one video. removing min cache was the trick.

setting adaptive voltage to 1,35, sign to - and offset to 0,05 is fine if i want 1,3v at full load and it is stable in idle, right?

You have to edit the performance power plan if you want to use that...set minimum processor speed to 10% instead of 100...but if it's not downvolting in balanced something else is keeping it up.

I've always done this in the BIOS not AI suite....some people have had problems with AI suite doing this kind of thing

Some people have found samsung magician can keep power plan at 100% too

'cept the idle voltage may go too far below the base VID. It's very hard to test this effect.

is that harmful to my cpu or does it just affect stability?

Pretty sure it's not harmful for the CPU...but it can chew up your OS if you are on the edge of stability at idle
