7 restarts durring win 7 service pack install + red led 24 pin power light up

I never noticed my pc restarting 7 times durring a service pack install.Twice in stage 1,once in stage 2 and 4 times in stage 3.
Is this normal?

I also notice the red led next to the 24 pin power connector lighting up at startup for 8 seconds and then it goes out.I never noticed that before either.

Of course this is all moot since I will be putting another board in the system sat morning for some trouble shooting to see if the MVF is faulty or not.
But I would just like to know if the restarts and the led is an issue or not.

It's normal for the QLEDs to light up during startup. If a problem is found with the CPU/RAM/VGA/Booting Device, the corresponding QLED will stay lit. Since in your case none of them is staying lit, you have nothing to worry about.

As for the restarts, it's normal whenever you're installing updates.
