4790k Custom Watercooled 94c under load :(

So I just finished custom watercooling my streaming PC and here are the specs below-





CPU- Intel Core i7 4790K
Motherboard- Asus MAXIMUS VII Gene
RAM- Corsair Vengence 16GB (2×8) DDR3 21330Mhz
GFX Card- Asus GeForce GTX750ti 2G STRIX
Capture Cards- Aver Media Live Gamer HD x 2
SSD- Samsung EVO SERIES 250GB
HDD- WD 4TB Caviar Black 7200rpm
PSU- Corsair AX750i Platinum Power Supply
CASE- Phanteks Enthu Evlov mATX

Watercooling Components-

EKWB

CPU Block- Supremecy Evo
Rads- LC Solution Coolstream PE 240 x 2
Fans- Vardar 2200RPM x 4
Pump- D5 PWM Pump
Rez- XRes 3


And here are the temps I am getting under load, which I think should be way cooler. Am I wrong?






If anyone could share their thoughts and insights, that would be great.

Ok so I have followed the above settings and here are the results so far-

So far I have tried going to form 1.15 on the cvore upto 1.17 with everything else the same, but its bluescreened on RealBench each time

This is what HWinfo shows








I maybe doing something wrong, but when I go to change the VccIO = ~1.015v and VccSA = ~0.85v it goes right to 1.000000

Ok try this

In the last screen shot, set all voltages to auto and change only the cpu core voltage. Start with 1.15v again and increase .02v each time.

If it's BSODing with 1.17v, you may end up needing 1.20v or close to it.

I am thinking to try a fresh install of windows 10 on another SSD and see if CPUZ will read correctly. what do you think?

I wanted to menttion, click the arrows at the bottom left of Hwinfo and make it show 4 columns, the Vcore is the cpu core voltage and is what we want to see.

Don't reinstall windows just yet. 🙂

Now I rest everything to default and turned off XMP mode. Tehn changes the vcore to 1.15.

But it BSOD, so gonna keep trying to increase it and see how we go.

Or should I be leaving XMP on?

You can use XMP or set it manually.

The Vcore looks to be reading correctly in Hwinfo.

Yep looks like it needs a little more cpu core voltage. 🙂

Ok I have to all the way to 1.20v with XMP ON and it passed the RealBench Benchmark

OK then 1.20v is what she needs. Your temps are fine but they seem a touch high for a custom loop, don't you think ?

I'd expect idle temp around 30c with a custom loop, your idle temp is showing 41c in the bios unless it's toasty in your room. 🙂

Yeah I know... I mean its 19.5c in the room. I wish the idle temps would be lower 😞

Here is changed the CPU and Vcore back to Auto and XMP ON to see what it want to use-



Should I put it back to manual and set it to 4.4 on the CPU and 1.20 on the core?

Also can I make it so the CPU only gets to 4.4 when streaming (underload)

Or should i just leave it at 4.4 all the time?

Try adaptive mode, this will let the cpu speed and voltage drop at idle, make sure the windows power plan is set to balanced.

Change the cpu core voltage to adaptive, the option "Additional Turbo Mode CPU Core Voltage Override" appears, enter 1.20v in there.

Reboot and check HWinfo.
