Forgive me if I sound like an FNG but the last time I did serious overclocking was the Athlon XP days. Zenith Extreme, 1950x, AS5, Liqtech AIO 360 with push-pull fan setup, high CFM SanAce server fans. This thing is a monster and at the stable 4.1 I have now my idle temps are still in the low 30*C high 20's, all 16 cores turning and burning at 4.1ghz
This BIOS, the 0804 beta I believe, has a LOT more OC options than what I am used to from the AXP days, what exactly do I gotta worry about when trying for 4.4? I've seen guys hitting 5ghz on LN2. Thermals aren't my problem with this cooler I have on it, I seem to be hitting a silicon wall at 4.2ghz. It seems to be upping the VCore for me, I tried 41x105 and it didn't even post lol. I'm at 41x100 now and all is well. Any of you young whippersnappers want to help an old timer crank this thing up? I go back to the Socket 7 days of de-lidding K6 chips lol
