I currently have an Asus Rampage V Extreme 3.1 usb version and have 3 cards side by side in SLI. The top most primary card is in the very first PCIe_x16_1 slot.
My question is if I wanted to move the whole 3-way SLI card stack down one row (leaving the top most PCIe_x16_1 slot free for a sound card or say even say an NVM express SSD) will the GPUs still be doing 16x8x8? or will it be reduced to x8x8x8?
