Zenith II Extreme Shutdown to S5

Hi i have a Zenith 2 Extreme Mobo with a AMD 3960X CPU. In the Bios setting i have trp enabled to S5. This normally shuts down my pc so it will not show any RGB or lights whatsoever. But since i exchanged my Memory from 32GB Corsair 3200 C18 to 64GB Gskill 3600 C16 it will not shutdown to S5 although its enabled in bios.

So the question is how do i get it to work again in S5?

Things i already tried:

- I updated my bios to latest 0702 version
- I reset the bios to original settings before i made my own changes. i also tried to clear cmos with the button on the back (although it should do the exact same)
- Confusion is that i have the same bios settings as before with the corsair ram, but now with gskill the lcd info display stays on and apparently the power stays on the usb devices since my cooling remembers the rgb settings now... the rest of the lights are out.

Nope, I haven't messed with any numa settings, if I have them they are still at original defaults. Not sure why you'd want to mess with those given the 3960X chiplets can all reach the system memory without having to go through another chiplet like the earlier TR generations. Are you setting up virtual machines?

I did get my new thermaltake flow riing 360 TR edition to replace the deepcool castle 360ex. My idle temps are now down in the lower 40's with an ambient of 24 C and the cpu fan header the water block is plugged into set to DC 100%. So I picked up maybe 5 C better. More importantly, my temps stay more in the mid 80's when running the blended prime95 test, with only an occasional peaking into the 90's. While all that may sound like marginal gains, according to the Ryzen Master Utility my chip frequencies stayed above 4.0 much longer, only dropping to 3.8 on the higher load tests that increased temps thanks to the PBO and default overclocking the chip does. That makes me wonder what folks are doing when they run their chip at "stock" and get temps in the 70's at load. At the risk of going way off topic, the whole temperature question plays into way too many dynamics with the system left at default settings as it automatically boosts as long as the the temps stay below 90 C in Ryzen Master. And then I have all sorts of different temp sensors to consider, like the one displayed on the motherboard which is usually much lower than the one displayed in Ryzen Master. That's kinda wonky, because the fan curve is fed by the motherboard temps, not Ryzen Master Utility which shows the throttle temps. I even tried to see if there was a correlation factor between the two so I could more accurately set up a fan curve, maybe some constant I could use to better set that up, but nope, at times one was higher than the other, only to flip some minutes later. So I might be chasing a ghost here...

Wel it seems you got your temps in order, just adjust it to what feels right. Maybe use a benchmark like cinabench 20 and see witch vent settings gives more score? I prefer a quiet system so i let the temps go a bit higher. I am stuck with NZXT Cam software to adjust the curves. Although i think it gives accurate temps that are also higher then what the motherboard shows.

The reason i messed with numa nodes is that i achieve much higher memory speed when i set it to 2 nodes. difference of at least 20 GB/s according to aida64 tests. Could be so that its set standard to 2 nodes.. sometimes it does it some times not it seems. You can check it when you go to task manager > performance > processor. Then rightclick on the big chart where you can select change graphic in total, logical processors and numa nodes. If numa is greyed out its disabled, when u can select it it will show how many nodes you got.
