Z97 Deluxe problem

I have just upgraded from the Z87 to the Z97 Deluxe. My problem is with my Razer Death Adder mouse which has always been fine, but since the upgrade the Synapse software doesn't recognise it. The message says "Please connect a Razer Synapse 2.0 enabled device" is this an Asus problem or Razer?

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Try setting xHCI to disabled. Boot into the UEFI (Advanced Mode), go to Advanced and then USB. As stated in the motherboard manual (page 2-15 in the pdf) components that experience this issue will require a firmware update for compatability with the Z97 PCH.

Due to the design of the Intel® 9 series chipset, all USB devices connected to the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports are controlled by the xHCI controller. Some legacy USB devices must update their firmware for better compatibility.
