Yet another RAID issue.

I've had this since the start of my computer setup, but for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. First, here are my specs:

Rampage IV Extreme (bios 3404 x64)
i7-3960x
16GB Mushkin Redline 993997 2133MHz CL9
2x 256GB OCZ Vertex 4 Raid 0 (v1.5 firmware)

And here are some of my BIOS settings:

16713
16714
16715

When I boot up my computer or reboot it, it doesn't even go to the screen where it displays all my RAID drives. It's just all black screen, then ASUS BIOS logo, then I get this:

16716

The only way I am able to boot into windows is to reboot, press delete to catch the window to get into the BOIS somehow. Then I go to the SATA configuration and set the mode to AHCI, then back to RAID (+ then -). I reboot after that and it's able to boot to Windows. I have tried setting the boot delay time to 10 seconds to give it time to initialize the RAID ROM but I still get the same issue.

Can anyone figure out what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks in advance.

Your missing the most interesting screen shot, that of the drive selections for first and subsequent boot device. For instance on mine its the SSD drive i have but, its prefixed by windows boot device i think as a seperate entry
Edit .....Look for Windows Boot Manager under boot devices, i have mine set as first boot device. Its under the Boot tab amd scroll down the page to see more options

Is this a new computer system, and are you trying to move your RAID array to it from a different mobo?
i7-3930K; Asus RIVE; G.SKILL Ripjaws Z 4x4GB DDR3 1866; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB;
Corsair 1000HX; Corsair H100, 4x Excalibur 120mm PWM CPU Fan p-p, AS5; SB X-Fi Titanium Fata1ity Pro;
Dell U2412m IPS 1920x1200; Cooler Master HAF 932 case; Tripp-Lite OMNIVS1500 UPS fully Line-interactive.
(EVGA site: ) And I have a second (wife's) computer, Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

I'm sorry I gave the thread time to get replies but I didn't expect you guys to respond this fast. Thanks. So yeah I went into the missing 3rd screenshot that martyn was talking about and there it was, first boot priority was set to the card reader of my NZXT Switch with "Intel Root" on 2nd. So I flipped them and it now works flawlessly. Please forgive my ignorance. 😉

Anyway, about the missing drives, not sure why they aren't there either, but everything works fine now and that's all that matters to me.
