Hello all,
I have a X99 Sabertooth, i7 5820K, DirectCU mini 4GB Asus VC, and 16Gb Corsair Vengeance rig. I was running Arch Linux until it randomly shutdown on me and now won't go back on. When I turn on the PC it looks like it starts for a brief second and then shuts right off. It does not POST and none of the red POST lights go on. There is an orange LED called PLED1 that is lit between the CPU and DRAM in the upper right hand quadrant of the mb. This LED is not in the manual and ASUS tech support didn't know anything about it either. I read some reports that said Asus motherboards were burning out CPU's and RAM so I'm hoping that didn't happen to me. ASUS will RMA me, but I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and what the outcome was. I do not overclock and was not doing anything intensive when the PC died. I know the PSU is good due to a PSU tester.
