X99-Deluxe DIMM slot problems

Hi guys,
First of all I installed 8 x 4gb modules but my system was only showing 16gb installed instead of 32gb. Took out all memory and tested each one by one, none of them faulty. So started with 2 in (8gb, fine) then when I went up to 16gb I realised slots A1 & B1 weren't detecting any memory. So I installed all 8 modules again and none of the DIMM slots A1/A2/B1/B2 were detecting any memory at all. I had 8 sticks of Corsair Vengeance LPX. MEMOK button did not resolve the issue.

Anyway ASUS technical suggested I return my board which I did beginning of this week. Anyway new board arrived yesterday, not only that I bought 32GB of new quad channel that was on the approved list of compatible memory (my other kit wasn't on the list).
EXACT same issue with brand new board and memory kit!! DIMM slots A1/A2 & B1/B2 are not detecting any RAM.
Any ideas? Asus tech support take 2 days to turnaround an answer so pulling my hair out here.
CPU-Z detects the RAM in the slots and even has correct SPD info. Must be something I am missing but cant work out what it is.

Sorry I forgot to mention that the BIOS Tools SPD shows the memory sat in the slots but doesn't actually add the memory in system. (in other words it can see all 8 slots are occupied but only lets the system use 16GB instead of 32GB) so I know the board can see the DIMMs!
I have a matching 32GB kit, from their approved list part #CMK32GX4M4A2666C15 CORSAIR.
