From my understanding the real "Enterprise Edition" RSTe drivers contain an additional SCSI filter driver as well, but are just designed for X79 chipsets. I'm interested in the fact you changed to RST in the BIOS? Please explain what you mean here.
When you installed Windows, you would have pressed F6 during installation to load the RAID drivers - which RAID drivers did you use, RST or RSTe? I feel this would answer your question.
