Windows 10 Upgrade: What do I need to do before doing it?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there is anything I need to do before upgrading my computer to Windows 10?

i.e. Is it necessary to update all the various drivers for the motherboard? Do I need to be on a certain BIOS? etc.

Hello Corsair Riker

The only thing you need to do is make sure windows 7 is fully updated, the chipset drivers and bios do not need to be updated.

Click the upgrade now button, sit back and watch windows 10 download and install, no need to put it on a usb stick or make an iso file.

I actually have made a USB for the Windows 10 install (I have multiple machines at home so don't want to download it 4 times).

Have this planned for the weekend (going to image my machine first so will be able to restore my Windows 7 install in case anything goes wrong).
