Hello to all!I have recently purchased a crosshair V-z and the memory i have selected is the kingston hyperx beast 2400 Mhz 16 gig memory kit.I know the whole amd should go with G skill or corsair but i thought i would give it a go just the same.P.S. I should have my mobo this week and i ordered it on the 5th,Was or is there a recall on the MoBo?Or is it just the fact that they flew off the shelves at such a rate that they are manufacturing more as i type.Anywho,Any comments are much appricated.

Welcome to the ROG forums, DustyBoots.

As far as compatibility goes, the CHVF-Z supports this speed. But being able to run at those speeds depends hugely on the CPU.

Thank you for the welcome Mr.Chino!Great to be here. The new build is as follows :Crosshair formula V-z, 16 gigs of the 2400 kingston beast, corsair H-70 water cooler with 2 corsair high static fans , Corsair TX750M PSU, 2x gigabyte HD 7950's, AMD FX 8350 128 gig vertex4 SSD, 2x WD BC 500 gig HDD,

Sweet build. The 8350 has a good chance of running 2400MHz RAM.

Just wondering. Where are you shopping for your parts? Maybe I can make a few recommendations. 😛

First and third red slot, as per manufacturer's recommendation for a dual graphics setup... double check the manual when you get the board...
