Why does my keyboard lights do not turn off when computer is of or in sleep?

Level 7

I have the rampage iv mother board and tesoro gaming keyboard. As the title states lights do not turn off. Is it a mother board setting or keyboard problem?

Thank you,

A. Is "Legacy USB support" enabled BIOS? I find enable is best - If you disable that you won't get in to BIOS, without a PS2 kybd or resetting BIOS.
B. Do you have "Selective USB suspend" disabled in the Windows power options, of your current power profile? Have you tried enabling it?
C. Different kybds are different, try a different one.

Nice kybd by-the-way. We have two Filco Majestouches. It says CherryMX, but doesn't say what color CherryMX. I like Blue, my wife has the brown model. I like the "clicky" feel.

Oh yeah, it isn't a PS2 plug, is it? Are you using the PS2 adapter, or straight USB?

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

Turn on ErP setting in UEFI and hope that your PSU supports it properly otherwise you are stuck with the lights on since the USB ports provide power even when the system is off if ErP is off or not supported. Your other option is switching off the PSU but that only works for off..not for sleep.
