If you do not want the full suite and do not install that driver you get a missing device driver in Device Manager.

The only part of AI Suite I have installed is the USB 3 boost. Is this driver then needed? Thanks.

It's back up now. Is it needed?

Hi.
It's a driver, doesn't slow down your computer, doesn't take much space, and it's really not hard to install it (double click on it, a black cmd windows will just pop-up for a second and vanish)
So, why NOT install?

I am doing a clean install due to an SSD failure. When I try to install this driver I get a command prompt window popup, but it doesn't go away. When I try to install the Windows Update version it just hangs. Anybody got an idea what's going on?

Agreed. Just didn't know what it did. Advanced configuration and power interface. Figured it would have already be out or part of the OS. ?? Thanks.

Hi.
It is an ASUS proprietary driver, so it won't become part of the OS (at least not in the near future)... It actually creates the interface with motherboard for TPU and DIGI+ VRM control (it is sort of the bridge between AI Suit and the BIOS)
