Weird boot issue with 2105

After upgrading to 2105 from 2003 on the RIVE my system is taking a little longer to boot and I am sometimes not getting the pause to hit the DEL key to enter the bios. Doesn't always happen, just sometimes. Either from a cold boot or a hot restart. Before I roll back to 2003, does anyone have an answer to this?

Not sure about the boot time but in order to enter the UEFI try the del key on the num keypad.

It's not a matter of hitting the right key, it's that either my monitor doesn't power up and show the "enter bios" screen or it seems it just goes straight to windows whilst skipping the UEFI pause screen.

Boot time isn't bad at all, just wierd its only sometimes skipping the bios screen.

That is fast boot causing that.

It's like Unixsystem said. This is cause by Fast Boot and hitting the key I mentioned will get you into the UEFI. It's a feature.

with or without the fast boot doesn't make a whole lot of difference, although I see what you are saying now. I did notice longer cold boot times going to 2105 though.

Do you have any USB 3 device attached to the system when boot?
Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.

I made sure everything was disconnected. The only thing I have besides the mouse and keyboard is a Pantone Huey Pro. And that hasn't caused me problems before the bios switch.

Would you like to perform a CLR CMOS and re setting of the bios see it help. Cheers.

That did it....

I dispense that advice quite a bit, but I always forget to follow it myself.

edit......back to booting in about 10 to 15 seconds.....Also after clearing cmos I squeezed out an extra .01 in my vcore offset and remained stable.
